The Statistical Report Program (SRP) is intended for distribution only to Bahá’í Institutions and their agencies as well as individuals appointed to perform work on their behalf. The SRP package and information about the program should not be generally distributed or made available on public Internet sites.
System Requirements
Before setting up, you should make sure your PC meets the following requirements:
The Operating System must be Windows 2000 or higher.
You must be logged on as a user with administrative privileges to install and use the program.
Your PC should have a CD-ROM drive installed.
Your PC should have either a floppy drive installed, or have an Internet connection available, in order to transfer files.
100 MB of free disk space is required if your PC does not have Microsoft Access installed. If your PC has Microsoft Access, only up to 20 MB of free disk space is needed.
Your PC should have a printer (or at least a printer driver) installed in order to preview the printable version of the reports.
Your PC should have, if possible, an anti-virus program installed.
Installing the Program
If you have a version of the Statistical Report Program already installed, it’s recommended that you backup your data before proceeding with the new installation. To do this, open the program and select “Backup” from the “Tools” menu.
Before proceeding further, you should close all applications, including any existing versions of the Statistical Report Program.
Insert the Statistical Report Program CD.
Installation of the Statistical Report Program should automatically begin after a few seconds. If it does not, double-click on Setup.exe in the root directory of the CD.
Select the installation language when prompted.
Follow the instructions until setup is complete. By default the program will be installed in C:\Program Files\StatsProg.
Once the setup is completed, you will find a shortcut in your Programs menu from which you can run the program. You can also run the program from C:\Program Files\StatsProg\StatsProg.mdb.
Uninstalling the Program
In the Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Select Statistical Report Program and click Remove.
Release Notes
The “Export All Membership Data to Excel” functionality now includes the Region and Cluster fields as well as the Age field.
The new installer addresses User Account Control issues on Windows Vista by setting Write and Delete permissions on the database files.
Office 2007 no longer shows a security warning when the program is opened because the program folder has been added to Office 2007’s “Trusted Locations”.
The "Export to Excel" functionality in Office 2007 is fixed.
The logic for detecting Microsoft Access on the system has been updated. The Access 2000 Runtime is now only installed if a later version of Access does not already exist on the system.
If an existing version of the program is detected during installation of version 2.1, a backup of the existing StatsProgData.mdb file will automatically be created, and it will be used as the “current” data file. In effect, the upgrade to the new version is seamless and all existing data in the program is preserved.
A backup of StatsProgData.mdb is now created during an uninstallation.
The Data Collection Forms and accompanying Explanatory Notes have been included as PDF files in the Start menu in English, French and Spanish.
The Training and Help Files have been included as CHM files in the Start menu in French and Spanish, in addition to English.
French and Spanish translations of the screens and menu items of the program have been included as PDF files in the Start menu.
The option to uninstall the Statistical Report Program through the menu has been removed.
